Brawlers look to KNOCKOUT Hydra

By Rob NaplesBrawlers vs Hydra

The Hydra look to keep rolling in Week 2 after an impressive opening-night performance powered by captain Blake Buls, who put together one of the most dominant stat lines in league history with 19 points and a record-setting 32 rebounds.

What makes the Hydra especially dangerous, though, is their balance. All four starters reached double figures in the opener, with Nate Bayer and Bryce Aude each scoring 11 points, while Ashton Miller chipped in 10. With multiple scoring threats and Buls controlling the glass, the Hydra established themselves as one of the league’s most complete teams in Week 1.

The Brawlers enter at 0-1 and will be shorthanded, but they still have plenty of talent capable of making things interesting. First-round pick Bryar Haring led the way in the opener with 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Kam Baber added a strong 11-point, 10-rebound double-double. For the Brawlers to pull off the upset, they’ll need a bigger offensive contribution from Noah Newstrand and Tyler Merdian, who were both held scoreless in Week 1.
